Welcome home!
This music is yours. The pieces we've recorded span nearly 150 years and link the generations of Westchester Reform Temple. Embracing an eclectic mix of styles, we chose pieces that celebrate our long and rich history; this album includes gems from our Reform movement's European origins, as well as vibrant, new American and Israeli voices. We have especially highlighted composers who have touched us over WRT's first 65 years. To feel at home is to feel a sense of history and belonging, to experience safety and love. The Talmud teaches: "The place that my heart holds dear, my feet will lead me there" (Sukkah 53a). That is, the place that you love is a place to which you will always return. We hope that, through your listening and singing along, you will feel a connection to WRT and know that you can always return home.
